John Wilkes is a Broker Owner of Lunar Mortgage Team, a locally owned residential mortgage brokerage he founded with his wife, Hannah. With more than 15 years of experience in commercial business development, sales leadership, and relationship management, John brings a strategic, business-minded approach to helping clients navigate the mortgage process.
Throughout his career, John has built and led high-performing sales teams, developed new markets, managed complex sales pipelines, and established long-term relationships with customers, business partners, and executive leadership. His experience includes sales strategy, business development, CRM implementation and administration, pipeline and opportunity management, forecasting, KPI development, negotiations, sales operations, and regulatory compliance.
At Lunar Mortgage Team, John combines that business and sales leadership experience with a strong commitment to client service, communication, and education. Working alongside Hannah, he helps build a mortgage experience centered on responsiveness, transparency, and finding the right financing solutions for each client's individual goals.
John believes successful lending is about more than completing a transaction. It is about building relationships, understanding each client's needs, communicating clearly, and being there from the initial conversation through closing and beyond.
As a Broker Owner of Lunar Mortgage Team, John is also focused on building a company that reflects the values that have guided his career: integrity, accountability, responsiveness, continuous improvement, and genuine commitment to the success of others.
